REMEMBER - I am BUYING BASEBALL AUTOGRAPHS. If you have one item or an entire collection,
please contact me by clicking the link on the navigation bar on the left and writing to me. I want to buy your vintage baseball
autographs. High prices paid. I will need to see copies before we can make a deal. -- I
have been buying, selling and collecting baseball autographs for 20 years. If you are selling baseball autographs,
please contact me. Starting out collecting through the mail, when even Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams would sign for you (though
it took quite a while with those two). The autograph collecting hobby was more fun in those days. Now baseball card shows
are run like assembly lines and collectors are treated like cattle by promoters. BASEBALL
AUTOGRAPHS:When people ask me what to collect, I always tell them to collect what they enjoy. Values
for autographs have been going up for years but I cannot nor will not predict future values for baseball autographs. Baseball
autographs are a hobby, enjoy the hobby. If you are looking for investments, contact a stock broker. However, if you buy what
you enjoy you will always have something that has value to you. Keep this in mind when deciding what to buy. Enjoy collecting
baseball autographs and you will get some value out of them.
Beware of Internet auctions.
They are a hotbed of forgeries. You cannot buy bargains in quality autographs on Internet auction sites. There are too many
knowledgable collectors out there who will not let something slip through the cracks. You cannot buy a Babe Ruth autograph
on an internet auction site for a few hundred dollars. Please remember that. If a "rare"
autograph is cheap on ebay, there is a reason for that. YOU CANNOT BUY a legitimate Babe Ruth autograph on ebay for $300.
Just don't bid. You cannot buy a Tony Lazzeri signature in ball point pen, because Lazzeri died two years before those pens
were on the market. Be alert, be careful, do your homework before you spend your money. Buy from real autograph dealers, not
people who sprung up when it became easy to steal your money. I urge all collectors to buy only from dealer members of the
UACC or IADA. These are the two legitimate professional organizations for autograph dealers who sell sports autographs. If
you happen to see bogus autographs on Internet auction sites, please write to me. Remember that legitimate autographs sell
for legitimate prices. Buy from professional dealers and professional auction houses. --- HALL
